Arcos & our avian friends

A sunny but cool morning stroll shows that we are perched on a cliff side overlooking the river valley below Arcos de la Frontera.  An abundance of birds zoom by on the drafts of air on this cliff.

A group of captive birds were managed by a man selling photo opportunities.  This Harris hawk was curiously checking us out.

And the interiors of these churches are fascinating.  The stern imagery contrasts with ornate, gilded finery.

This evening in Arcos, we attended a women’s forum on equality & equity as part of the local creative women’s group.  The panel ended with beautiful flute played in this amazing acoustic hall.
